I would recommend you trying street view in google maps, czechia is almost 100% covered. Try to find village of same size you are modelling and check how things look in real. Usually in small villages there are no street markings (here so called horizontal signs, painted on road surface), no traffic lanes or even side lines, only
junction paintings on sideroads. Classic "vertical" signs mostly used are
right-hand-priority junction ahead,
junction ahead, you are on main street with corresponding 'give priority' or 'stop and give priority' signs (same as in germany), and of course
directions signs ahead of most important intersections. If you are modelling small city about <1500 citizens, these cover most of usages. Feel free to post any situation you are not sure about and we will try to help.
